Regeno Awarded Farm Data Safe Certification
4th February 2025
Regeno, the online Sustainable Farming Incentive advice tool for farmers, has been certified as Farm Data Safe. Regeno joins a growing group of organisations to certify with the farm data governance scheme run by Farm Data Principles.
Certification recognises organisations that meet a set of important requirements for data management, including secure handling, transparent agreements, and responsible use of farmers' data. It means organisations are aligned with industry-leading principles based around recognising the farmer's right to control the use of their data.
"Farm Data Safe certification builds on the trust we've already established with farmers across the UK in unlocking grant funding opportunities they never knew were available to them," says Sven Popplemann, founder and CEO of Regeno. "Our farming community has always trusted us to handle their data with care whilst helping them access vital funding opportunities. This certification formalises what our users already know - that their data remains under their control and is handled with the highest standards of security and transparency. It's another step in our commitment to being a trusted partner in sustainable farming."
Professor Tina Barsby OBE, Farm Data Principles Chair adds: “Empowering farmers starts with building trust, and responsible data stewardship is at the heart of that trust. Being certified as Farm Data Safe is a recognition of Regeno’s efforts and a clear promise to the farming community that their data is treated with the respect and care it deserves.”
