AB Sustain certified for its commitment to Good Farm Data Governance

17 September 2024

Specific data tools supplied by AB Sustain, a specialist food supply chain management company, working work with retailers, brand owners and manufacturers, has been certified by Farm Data Principles for its commitment to good farm data governance.

The organisation has clearly and transparently explained how they conform to the four principles of good farm data governance set out by Farm Data Principles when using the following AB Sustain tools:

  • Farm Footprints, an on-farm carbon assessment delivering data insights to inform and improve a farm’s performance, and

  • Dairy Dynamics, an on-site herd assessment, that measures and benchmarks the farm’s own data to give insights on dairy productivity.

Lisa Knight, Service Delivery Compliance Manager for AB Sustain said

“We are delighted to receive certification for these two really useful data handling tools since it demonstrates to those farmers using them that we take their data seriously”.

Professor Tina Barsby OBE said,

“We are delighted to welcome AS Sustain as a certified organisation which is demonstrating good farm data governance. They join an increasing number of organisations who recognise the importance of engaging in a clear and transparent dialogue with their customers when it comes to handling farm-derived data.”
